For many visitors to Fife there is one major attraction - to play golf. With a wide range of courses catering for all ages and abilities.  There are around 30 golf courses in a 15 mile radius including Anstruther, St Andrews New Course, The Old Course, Dukes Course, Kingsbarns, Devlin and Torrance courses at the St Andrews Bay Resort, Lundin Links, Leven Links and Elie. During the summer it is light enough for golf from 4:00 AM.

 

Guests get special golf rates at Charleton Golf Club just a short drive from the accomodation. Charleton Golf and Country Club, acclaimed to be one of the most beautiful Golf Courses in Scotland. Set in the Heart of Charleton Estate, owned by Baron St Clair Bonde. Charleton has gone from strength to strength since it's opening in 1994 by George Bush Snr.

     
     

The testing par72 (sss72) Parkland Course, has something for all.

Charleton Club House is open to members and visitors.  They have a generous selection of beers, wines, spirits as well as soft drinks tea and their popular freshly brewed coffee.  All prices are very reasonable and the bar area is an ideal place to talk through those challenging golf shots with fellow golfers.

     
 

Elie Bay

The sandy curve of Elie Bay encloses a wonderful expanse of sheltered water, making it the finest setting on Scotland's East Coast.

The harbour has safe anchorage for small boats whilst the sailing club has regular events during the year.

Elie Watersports also offer a wide range of activity's from windsurfuing, sailing, canoeing, waterskiing, boat trips, inflatable banana, ringo rides, pedaloes and mountain bikes.
